Join us at the Upper Peninsula’s longest distance multisport event, the Kuparisaari Triathlon. “Kuparisaari” is Finnish for Copper Island, which is actually what the Keweenaw Peninsula is. 2010 will be the inaugural year for the Kuparisaari Tri, and we are sure it will be memorable.

A wards
Top three overall male and female finishers will receive awards. Additionally, age group awards for the top three athletes in each division will consist of locally crafted pottery and honey. Top overall finishing male, female, and co-ed teams will also receive an award.
Race Divisions
Age groups are: 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-443, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 64+ for male and female.
Race Limit
The 2010 event will be limited to the first 150 individuals and 25 teams. The race is in a fairly remote location, making the Kuparisaari so unique. The remoteness does add some challenges and the race organization wants to insure a premium event with a manageable number of athletes for the first year.
